He chose to participate in NCCC FEMA Corps because he wanted to figure out his life’s path while spending time doing volunteer work that he can be proud of.   Alexander graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2010 and attended the Maryland Institute College of Art before joining NCCC FEMA Corps.

Treasurer Fitzgerald Announces the First Unclaimed Property eBay Auction

State Treasurer Michael L. Fitzgerald will begin using the popular online auction site, eBay, to sell contents from abandoned safe deposit boxes this month. "We work very hard to find the rightful owners of these boxes and return the contents to them," Fitzgerald stated. "But when we are unable to find them and our vault gets full, we must sell some items to make room for new contents that we receive.

AmeriCorps NCCC Members graduate after completing 10 months of service   AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) proudly graduates 187 young adults Wednesday, November 14, 2012. The graduation ceremony begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. and is being held at Vinton-Shellsburg High School Auditorium in Vinton.   The ceremony marks the end of a 10-month journey that began in February 2012.

She chose to participate in NCCC FEMA Corps because she wanted to gain career direction and make a difference in the lives of others and herself. Lindsay graduated from Liberty High School in 2010 and attended Los Medanos College before joining NCCC FEMA Corps.

Kathryn Manternach involved in Central College music

Kathryn Manternach, a native of Watkins, Iowa, is participating in the Central College Community Band at Central College. Central College offers 18 music ensembles, ranging from the 60-voice A Cappella choir to the Flying Pans Steel Drum Band. The music ensembles are open to music majors and non-majors alike, and several tour annually. Central College is a private, four-year, residential, liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa.
